What I'm doing to try and be a better mom

About a month ago I was taking my daughter to her gymnastics class and I noticed that one of the kids in her class were trying to get there moms attention but mom was on her phone and totally ignoring the kid. I felt really bad for the kid as she was trying so hard to get her attention. It was at that moment that I made a promise to myself to be a more attentive mom.

When I am at gymnastics if I can see my daughter out the viewing room window I make sure I watch her and that every time she looks up she sees me watching her. When I can't see her that is when I can look at my phone.

At night we have started a new tradition/bed time routine. I went and got a kids novel its 3 stories in 1 and its 33 chapters long. Every night we read a chapter of the book before bed while cuddled up. Sometimes if we are at a good part we will read 2 chapters. I find that since doing this L has been going to bed so much better than in the past and looks forward to our reading times.

Mother daughter dates! I have been trying to do a mother daughter date at least 1-2 times a month with L. We go to dinner or do something fun just the 2 of us next month we are going to go to Paw Patrol live together! L is super excited about this.

I am trying to put my phone down and or work down more often and playing with L wether it be a tickle battle playing a game or watching some video about something she was interested in.

If I do anything at all anything that could make a difference with my girl I hope that being more present in her life and showing her love in ways other than heres a new toy or let me buy you this I want her to appreciate time and time spent with me and other people in her life I want her to value things like that more so than valuing the things I buy her.

I have to say since I have implemented some of these rules or guidelines for myself I have seen a big improvement with L and her moods and how much we used to fight compared to now. She has been helping more and listening so much better. Hopefully this keeps up and I can raise a great kid!

Keto (WEEK 4 UPDATE)

Keto Week 4 How I'm feeling my thoughts on Keto!

So today was weigh in day and I was up pretty early this morning used the washroom and stepped on the scale and was super surprised at the number in a good way!

Week 4 : -4.4 lbs  Total loss so far : -10.4lbs

Happy dance commence! To be honest I have never felt this good on any way of eating before. I am almost never hungry and when I am I eat, I don't snack anymore I eat 2 meals a day sometimes 3 but mostly just 2. It is very rare for me to eat after 7pm now which it used to be snack central in this house hold at night.

I am starting to understand my body and self a lot more and better. I am more in tune with how I am feeling. The one thing I have noted for myself and realized is that on any other WOE I have never not been hungry I was hungry all the time. I was also always crazy tired I thought that being tired was just the way my life was going to be. I was always dying for a nap at 1-2pm. This has totally changed which makes me love this way of eating even more!

I am having so much fun experimenting with food I have been cooking all the meals for my family which has made doing this so much easier and everyone is loving the food!

I can't wait to see what happens in the next couple weeks I am sticking to this until I hit my goal and beyond no more yucky carbs for this girl!

Keto Lifestyle (How its going)

So on September 21st I started my journey on a Keto Lifestyle change (I hate calling it a diet) I am currently on my 3rd week or Keto which If you don't know what Keto is I will put a link to the definition here (Click Here). Basically Keto is a high fat low carb moderate protein way of eating. You are basically living on the carbs you get from veggies than carbs you get from other foods. You are teaching your body to burn fat for energy instead of burning carbs for energy.

The first week I wasn't totally Keto I was adjusting to the new way of eating and figuring out what I should and shouldn't be eating so I did eat some stuff that I really shouldn't have but its a real learning curve. Another important thing if you are looking to start a Keto lifestyle is to do your research and by that I mean there is a lot of research you should do. It's very important to know some of the things that can happen to your body when starting this way of eating such as KETO FLU! It is very important that you get your electrolytes in as your body wont be able to hold onto those as much on this WOE.

I have to say that I actually feel great I have so much more energy now than I did before. Before Keto I used to drink 3-6 cups of coffee a day now I drink a max of 2 coffees a day now and I don't have a crash at 1-2pm anymore I can go the whole day with full energy! My crash time now is at 9pm which I mean isn't bad now that I am waking up and ready to go at 6-7am. Another change I have noticed is that I am not hungry all the time! this is a big thing for me I have tried other WOE such as weight watchers and I found I was constantly hungry. I eat 3 meals a day Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and sometimes I have a small treat after dinner when I need a little extra fat such as a Fatbomb.

The first week you loose water weight which I lost 5.6lbs the first week. Everyone is different but some people like me stall after the first week as our bodies heal and adjust themselves. I have lost inchs even though the scale isn't moving and I just feel a lot better!

Feeling the way I do in these first few weeks has made me want to keep going and I plan to make this a lifestyle change and my way of eating from now on. I'm all in!

Where have I been!?!?

Well it's been a hot minute since I have been on here and actually posted something! Life kind of took over and It left no time for me to take time to write on here. L got her wish and now has a Youtube channel so we have been pretty consumed with that as well as work and life in general. This past weekend I have decided that I really need to make the change in my life and I am starting a Keto lifestyle (I hate saying Diet). I am feeling pretty good about it and have been doing a lot of research and joining different Keto groups to help with the process. I am all aboard and ready to go I am all in I need something in my life to change and I am making it change. I am saving for a house I am changing my lifestyle and I am going to be a better me. So Hello again I don't know how much I will be on here but I hope to do at least a few posts coming up but who knows.

No Review Wednesday

No review today I have some in the works just not finished with them yet. So I thought I would do just a little update kind of post. L has decided that she wants to start her own youtube channel which I am ok with so we may start that soon just figuring it all out right now. We started an instagram page for her as she's also interested in modelling and my dad thinks she would be a good one. So thats basically all that has been going on the last little bit which is super lame and boring but will update again later on.

Have a great day!

Restaurant single mom struggle!

I don't know if this only happens to me or if it happens to others but I feel like I need to make a sign! When I go out to dinner or lunch with L I usually try to bring someone with me because I always hate when L has to go to the washroom and we have to leave the table empty. We don't go out to dinner or lunch just the 2 of us 1 because I just don't have the money to do that all the time and 2 because every time we go alone something happens!

The other day L and I went for lunch and L picked the restaurant because she likes the food. Everything is going well our waitress is great. I ordered a pasta and L ordered a pizza. We get our food and start eating. L has about 3 bites of her pizza and is colouring her picture that she's super proud of and I eat my pasta watching her and encouraging her to eat more.

I have eaten about half of my pasta and L has still only eaten those 3 bites of her pizza and she decides she needs to use the washroom because she isn't feeling well. So I grab my bag and make sure my waitress sees that we are going to the washroom and to the washroom we go. We have left the table for all of maybe 5 min if that and when we come back the manager is clearing the table!

She had thrown L's piece of pizza into my pasta and crumpled up Ls picture took all of our drinks. I walked up and said "excuse me we weren't done we just went to the washroom" She started panicing I'm pretty sure she was embarassed as well She commented that no one had stopped her and she was so sorry! She asked if she could get me another pasta but I didn't want to wait for another one to be made. L started having a fit because her pictures was gone and I honestly just wanted the bill and to leave at this point.

The waitress brought the bill they ended up taking 25% off the bill which only amounted to about $4.00. I thought they should have done more than that but I didn't argue as I said I just wanted to leave.

This isn't the first time this has happened to us. As I said in the beginning I feel like I need to make or buy a sign that says just going to the washroom don't touch our table!

Orb Molecules *Wednesday Reviews*

Orb Molecules! To be honest I had never heard of these before I believe they are pretty new and came out around Christmas. L got 2 boxes of them for her birthday and she had been begging me for a few days to use them but I really didn't know what they were and thought it was going to make a huge mess that this momma wasn't in the mood to have to clean up. So I went onto youtube just to see what they were and watched a video on them and was surprised to see how cool they were. Link to youtube video

After watching a bit of the video L was happy to get the ok from me to open up her Molecules and get to playing! let me tell you my kid had the biggest smile on her face as she started playing with her toy!

when you open the box the Molecules are separated by colour in a plastic container they aren't sealed in in any way just in the plastic container. One of the things that I really like about these is that unlike things like playdough that we regularly have to throw out because someone forgets to seal the containers totally or leaves it out Orb Molecules don't dry out they stay mouldable at all times! That means that there is no need to be in a sealed container. If they get left out accidentally you can keep using them with no issue.
The other great thing about these are that they only stick to themselves they don't stick to your table or fingers or anything. You can build them by using big lumps of molecules or you can use one Molecule at a time and build up from there! They are little beads almost like a styrofoam ball stuck together by a sticky substance that doesn't leave a residue.  They don't come with instructions on how to build the characters in shows on the box you basically just create what every you want and create the character on the box to the best of your ability.
I really liked how creative this product can let L be. She started all on her own to make the monster on the box starting with the eyes which I was impressed she did so well for a 5 year old. She even added other colours and said it was the monsters makeup. She ended up making the head of the monster but then we got interrupted by dinner. Since then she keeps going back to build more things and play with it!

All in all my final conclusion. This is a great product and I really like it! I would highly recommend it to anyone with older kids who love to be creative. Orb Molecules for the win!!

A Weekend with 2

This week I haven't been feeling the greatest between allergies a slight cold and late nights and just feeling like utter crap I have been feeling pretty drained. I'm trying to keep up with everything and so far its been going ok there is room for improvement but all in all its going well.

This weekend I offered to watch my friends little guy who is just a year younger then L and they are pretty much best friends. We call them boyfriend and girlfriend because they are just the cutest together. They also play really really well together which makes the whole thing super nice!

I wasn't sure what we were going to eat for lunch and dinner today as I would have both kids for both eating periods of the day. I ended up ordering myself a small pizza and got them chicken bites and fries and at the request of my kiddo potato wedges as well. The food got here super quick which was really nice L didn't want any nuggets and only ate fries and wedges and G ate 1 nugget (I gave him 3). They are both picky eaters but usually eat pretty well in each others company but they just weren't feeling it today.

We spent the morning playing and watching Noddy and had lunch and then after lunch we watched 2 more episodes of Noddy and the went outside for a swim in the pool. This was the fun part G took no time to get in the pool and was having a blast while my child who has only had one swimming lesson and now thinks she's a mermaid refused to put on and wear her puddle jumper in the pool. I made a deal with her that she could do 3 of her mermaid swims and then she had to put on her jumper she did and then the fight began. Finally I was able to put it on her and she proceeded to sit one the step to the pool for the next 20 min whining. I finally decided to see if she would jump into the deep end of the pool and joked around with her she jumped in a couple times and then all was good with the world.

The kids spent 2 hours in the pool and then decided they had had enough and were ready to go in so we did. we had a bit more of our lunch for dinner and the rest of the day the kids just wanted to play family/house in the living room and watch more Noddy so thats what they did and I sat at the kitchen table and worked. All in all it was a great day with only one melt down from my own child!

5th Birthday!!

I can't believe it my child is 5 years old!! Where has the time gone? I can remember the day she was born like it was yesterday It's amazing that she is already 5 and it is so weird for me to say that to be honest. I have to say I am loving this age so far she is the coolest kid I know and I know it's biased as I'm her mom but she really is an awesome kid.

For L's 5th birthday I thought about having her classmates for a party but decided after a lot of thinking about it and looking a finances that we were just going to do a family and close friends party this year and next year I will plan for a kids party with her school friends.

We had her Birthday party this year on Canada day so when we do this we always do it earlier in the day so that everyone can go do their own thing later on and go see the fireworks or what not. We ended up having a pool party at the house which worked out really well as it was crazy hot out that day. My sister had gotten a bull floaty for the pool a few weeks earlier and we had it set up for that day and let me tell you it was super fun and the family loved it. There were battles to see who could ride the bull the longest.

Her Birthday was of course Unicorn themed as she is currently obsessed with unicorns and horses. We bought all unicorn decorations we could find including a blow up full size unicorn gliding balloon that L got a kick out of. I even bought Unicorn wrapping paper for her presents I got her.

Normally every year since L's first birthday my sister has made her birthday cake and it has been awesome as my sister is a pastry chef so it always worked out great and looked awesome. Unfortunately this year my sister was unable to make the cake and had to work on L's birthday so I had to either go and buy a cake from somewhere else or make it myself. I ended up buying a box cake and L and I spent the night before her birthday making her birthday cake together. L loved this and thought it was so fun to do. After L went to bed I threw together some decorations for the cake and made it look the best I could. She loved it the next morning! Mommy for the win!

All in all it was a great day and L had lots of fun and ended up thanking me for having a great party for her!

NESCAFÉ Sweet & Creamy *WEDNESDAY REVIEW*

I received NESCAFÉ Sweet & Creamy instant coffee packets in the mail as a sample and I thought what better than to try them out and do my review on them and what I think for my Wednesday review so here it is!

I got 3 packets in my sample pack Sweet & Creamy Original, Sweet & Creamy Mocha and Sweet & Creamy French Vanilla.

The main thing I loved about these was the fact that I didn't need to add anything to them other than the packets and hot water. They were quick and easy to use and if you only have access to some hot water then these are perfect for you!

So the one down fall to these is that if you don't drink sugar in your coffee you aren't going to like these. They were a little too sweet for some of my family members who also tried them out. I enjoyed my first cup of Nescafe coffee after I received these in the mail  I went and bought a box of the coffee ones. I have used them a few more times and also let my mom and dad try them as well to see what they thought. My dad and I didn't find them too bad yes they were a little sweet but it was coffee and it did the job and tasted fine note both my dad and I used to drink our coffees with sugar or sweetener. My mom on the other hand has never drank her coffee with sugar or sweetener and she very much disliked this coffee and couldn't drink more then a few sips of it.

So all in all they aren't bad for people who drink coffee with sugar and milk/cream. If you drink coffee black or with just milk or cream then this isn't the coffee for you.

Swimming lessons!

As a kid I grew up with my grandparents having a pool we used to ride our bikes over in the summer and go swimming all the time Grandma and Grandpa's was the place to be especially on those really hot days. I taught myself to swim with the help of my parents and only had swimming lessons in Grade 4 as part of our class.

So when it came to our pool we have at our house and L I had to decide what to do if I would just work with her and teach her how to swim myself, put her into a group swim class or get her private lessons.

I always thought that I would just teach her myself and that she would just start learning as she has been while we use the pool all summer which if she has anything to do with it we will be in the pool every day! I knew I didn't want to do a group swimming class I didn't think she would learn as much as she would be trying to show off or play with the other kids around her. So I had decided that swimming lessons weren't happening at this time and I would teach her.

Walking home the other day from school with L and I happened to notice a sign and I stood there and read it with L yelling at me to hurry up. The sign was for private in backyard swimming lessons! Honestly how perfect L could learn one on one and in her own pool! I took a picture of the poster and headed home. Later that night after L was in bed I pulled my phone out to look at the poster again. I looked up the website that was listed and read all about the program.

The program is set up through the red cross so If L does the required amount of lessons and passes she would have a swimming certification which I thought was pretty cool. On the poster it also had a coupon code for your first lesson which I also thought was awesome. They have a selection between 3 lesson types 30 min, 45min and 60min sessions. They were all reasonably priced as well in my mind!

So I signed the kiddo up and she will have her first lesson in a few days!!

A scary night! It could have been so much worse!

It could have been so much worse and I am so happy that everything worked out and that myself and my car are ok.

The other day I had to go out of town for work to another city about an hour away from where I live. I hadn’t driven on the highway since getting my license and I was slightly nervous about it but then I wasn’t if you can understand what I am trying to say. Any ways my dad had taken me out to where I had to go a few days before so that any anxiety would not be an issue because I knew where I was going and how to get there.

I have a lot of anxiety but over the years I have learned how to mostly overcome a lot of it. For me the anxiety of driving is not driving its self but its the getting into the car that I get anxious about once I'm in the car I am anxiety free and feel pretty calm.

So the day came and I had to get into my car take a few deep breaths and make my way to the highway I was able to make it to where I was going with no real issues other than that one stupid transport that is being risky on the highway but when do you not have one of those. I went and did my day of work and was finished around 9pm. I got into my car and headed for home. The lights on my car are automatic so I didn't have an issue just starting up the car and heading on my way. I don't drive very much at night and had never driven on the highway at night so this day was just a bunch of firsts for me.

I'm trucking along on the highway doing 110 and the highway is pretty quiet at this point there aren't a whole lot of cars on the road which was nice compared to earlier in the morning. I see the sign for the town over from where I live and I am relieved to see I am almost home as it had been a long day. All of the sudden my headlights shut off! So here I am first time driving at night on the highway going 110 with no lights in the pitch black. Let me tell you at this point there is a ton of swearing going on as I am playing with the knobs to my left trying to get my lights to come on not able to see in front of me and I can here I'm off on the shoulder because I can hear the grinding of the beveled parts to tell you your going off the road. I can't pull off to the other side of the road because there are construction cones so I'm trying to think of what the hell I was supposed to do. I turn on my signal light to see if that is working and to hopefully show anyone that might be behind me that I am in the road ( I didn't even think to put my hazard lights on till later). Low and behold my friggin lights came back on right after turning my signal on!!

I of course told Siri to call home and swore up and down to my parents telling them what just happened! I am so glad that I didn't run into the median or go off the road and I was able to keep calm enough to keep going but holy crap!

I am thankful for myself and my car to be alive and unharmed! You better believe ole Bessie is going in for a check up sometime this week.

The Perfect Mother by Aimee Molloy *WEDNESDAY REVIEW*

Holy Crap this book!! This was such a good book I highly recommend it to everyone and anyone! I don't have time to read a lot as I am usually pretty busy with work and being a single mom and what not. If you have been keeping up with this blog then you know that I have challenged myself to read at least 5 books this summer and this was the first book I had to read and let me tell you it took me all of 4 days to read it! This book was defiantly a page turner I had a hard time putting it down. I will say it did get a little confusing at times because the book is mainly about 3 different characters and each chapter is through the eyes of one of those 3 characters and I would get confused between 2 of the main characters but by the end of the book it didn't really matter it all comes together at the end. You also feel like you know whats happening in the book and it seems very predictable so you are just waiting for it to come out as what you think is happening and then boom something totally different that you weren't expecting at all happens and it's amazing! I have to say this is one of the best books I have read in a while and am going to be keeping an eye out for any other books that Aimee Molloy comes out with. I have honestly been talking about this book since I finished it and have given it to my mom for her to read it. So if you like an easy read and a good mystery with a twist this is very much the book for you! I don't want to give too much away as I don't want to  kill the mystery and the awesomeness of the twist but lets just say when I got to the twist I was like holy crap!! So this book gets 5 stars ***** and a 10/10. Now on to the next book!

Potty Training struggle at 4yrs

There are days where I sit down in a room alone and throw my hands up in the air and scream inside with frustration. I have heard so many stories of parents that have amazing potty training experiences or that it took a while but once they got it they were good to go and no more issues. Well this isn't the case for us ours is a little different from most that I have heard of.

It took forever for L to be potty trained don't get me wrong I started trying to train her at 2 1/2 but she refused. finally when she was 3 she started to get it and was doing really well she was going all day and night with no accidents and was doing great. She was out of diapers and pull ups and wearing her big girl underwear to daycare at home and to bed. We had finally rid our house of Diapers and I was so happy it was so much easier. Well a few months after she was potty trained and things were going well she got kicked out of daycare because our daycare wanted to take a kid that was going to be staying as we were going to be leaving in a few months as L was going to be starting school, No big deal I work from home so I made it work.

Well that first week home was horrible its like a switch went off and my child forgot everything about being potty trained she peed her pants at least 8 times the first day! 8 FRIGGIN TIMES!! She wasn't having accidents at night just during the day. I had no idea what to do about it I tried putting her on time outs but felt bad because I wasn't sure if she knew what was happening with her body maybe she didn't know that she had to pee maybe there was something wrong with her that she couldn't control it.

Time went on and she got a little better but we were still having random accidents every once in a while which I didn't totally get angry at as she was only just 4. finally we got back to where we were no accidents everything was good. Dun Dun Dun!! School started and so did the peeing of pants. I ended up making a deal with her that if she could go the whole month without having an accident that she could get a hatchimal (something she had been begging me for). The month came and went and she did pretty good she had one accident and I let it slid as it really wasn't her fault. All was good again or was it?

Fast forward a few more months and she started having accidents again! Like what is going on with this kid she has always been good with not peeing the bed and for some reason one week she peed every single night and not just a little pee like a lot of pee. She was having 2 accidents at least twice a week at school and I was struggling trying to understand her. I ended up making a drs appointment to go get her checked out as I was at a loss. We went and got asked a bunch of questions they ran some tests to see if she had an infection or something else wrong with her. We then went and she had an Xray to see if she had a blockage. Nothing, Nothing was wrong that the Dr could find so he told me he was going to refer me to a Paediatrician. Well that was in march and we still haven't gotten a call.

As of today L is in goodnights at night because she's not comfortable going without them at night now as she fears she's going to have an accident  which I totally get. During the day she has gotten a bit better but she is still having accidents at least once a week.  So at this point I'm at a loss and struggling to figure out what to do with her or how to get this under control. Maybe its something that we just need to wait out. I'm hoping that I can get a handle on it during the summer and we can get back on track.

Thanks so much if you have read this far! Please if you have any insight or suggestions Comment below because I'm going to loose my mind!

5 Book Summer Reading List!

Summer reading list! I very much enjoy reading but I never have time to do so but this summer I am determined to read 5 books. It is a big challenge that I am going to attempt but I really want to succeed with it. I went through my books I currently own and haven't read yet and then went and bought a couple more the other day to make up my 5 books.

Book 1

The Perfect Mother by Aimee Molloy
Chapters link to book here

This book I saw and read the description of when I was "window shopping" on chapters website one day it wasn't out yet but low and behold it was at the store the other day and I had to get it.

I just recently found out as well that they are making this book into a movie. Hopefully I can finish it before the movie comes out.

Book 2

The Bad Mother by Amanda Brooke
Chapters link to book here

This is also a book I bought the other day and thought If I am reading about the perfect mother might as well read about the bad one too. haha!

Book 3

Into The Water by Paula Hawkins
Chapters link to book here

This is by the bestselling author who wrote Girl on the train the reason I bought this book was really because the cover drew me in. I'm a sucker for a good cover.

Book 4

The Chaos of Stars by Kiersten White
Chapters link to book here

This is a book I have had for a while now and just haven't started reading it yet. I in the past have been way into teen fantasy fiction I'm big on easy readers so we will see how this one is.

Book 5

Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult
Chapters link to book here

I have had this book for a couple months now and I think I started reading a couple pages of it but haven't gotten into it just yet I have read one other Jodi Picoult book and it was pretty well written so I had bought this one thinking that I was able to get through the other one I should be able to get through this one.

So there it is my summer reading list fingers crossed I can do this! Wish me luck!

The Plan and more

Well I am starting to get a plan into motion of posts and trying to get things ready to have scheduled posts and what not to keep up with this more. I am going to have posts at least once a week right now if not a few more ideally I would like to have 3 times a week Monday Wednesday and Friday posts. In the past I have done Wednesday reviews which I would like to keep up with I am currently working on putting together a couple reviews on some new stuff I have bought recently or something that I have gotten samples of in the mail.

So the plan is to keep going with this revive it and build it up. Wish me luck!

One thing about this summer that is different from last summer is the fact that I have my license now and I have a car where as last summer I didn't have either so we were pretty much stuck at home. I am planning on doing some little adventures with L this summer and make it fun for her and I. I have a list of thing I want to do this year. We have already done one of those things which was going to the zoo and that will be in another post in the future. So stay tuned for that one!

Updates and other stuff!

Well it's been a hot minute since I was on here and actually posted something. It's crazy how fast time goes by and you don't even notice its going so quickly and then it slaps you in the face. These last few months have been crazy for me hence why I haven't been on here much lately and haven't written on her much either. I have been trying to make some changes in my life which I have had ongoing for as long as I can remember. I have gotten myself a personal trainer she comes once a week to my house and trains me for 30 min. Let me tell you she doesn't let me off easy this girl is making me sweat. I am working on getting myself back into eating better which is really a hit or miss most days some days I'm really good at it and then others I'm horrible but what else is new. I have been working on keeping my cardio up between training sessions by doing 30 min walks or swimming and other random things to keep me moving.

L is and has gotten so much bigger in the last few months and I can't get over the fact that in 2 weeks she is going to be 5 years old. I feel like it was yesterday that she was born I can still remember the day so clearly like it happened yesterday. L and I share a room and up until last month she was sleeping in a toddler bed and I was in a double so we had to figure out how we were going to fit the 2 of us in the same room together while still giving us enough space to live in the room. The only logical thing was to get a bunk bed! L is the happiest kid in the world right now hahaha. So I a 28 year old just got my first bunk bed and let me tell you I'm not complaining I friggin love the thing. I find I am getting so much more work done since we got it. It's like my own little space that I just sit in and work in any time of the day and night. It really has changed a lot of things and our room is so much cleaner and organized.

My plan for the next few posts which I am fingers crossed bit my tongue going to be posting on here again more frequently. I have a few product reviews I am planning on doing. I am thinking I am wanting to do some sort of weekly update on whats going on in our world and a few other posts that I have yet to come up with.

SO until next time!!

Hello Old Friend

Well it has been a while hasn't it! I do apologize for not being on here in a long time but life happened and I found myself overwhelmed and this was the only thing that I had that I could give up for a while to make it easier on myself. It's a new year and I don't even really know where I left off on here but I know a lot has happened since I was last on here and last posted. This year we lost a lot of people in our lives and therefore it made it a pretty hard year for the whole family I lost an old coworker a grandfather and a few more people who were close to my family. The hardest of them all was my grandfather for sure but we had been waiting on him for a while now so it wasn't a total shock when he took a bad turn. Unfortunately he took his turn and passed away a few weeks before Christmas, which made the holidays a little hard for us but we got through it and was actually able to see some family that we don't get to see very often which was really nice.

It's a new year and I am trying to get my life back on track. I stopped weight watchers a few months back and ended up gaining a bunch of weight and just feeling really crappy. I got into a bit of a depression with everything going on and it only made everything worse so 2 weeks ago I rejoined Weight Watchers with their new program freestyle. I am enjoying it so far and I am loving the new program in the first week I was down -3lbs which I thought was pretty good since I wasn't very good with following the program last week. This week I have stuck to it more and ate within my points and am feeling great so far and excited for my next weigh in.

Well I guess that is my update for now and I know I have said this before but I am going to try and get on here more and post as I really do enjoy it and I feel like it is an outlet for me.

She's so sweet!

Oh what a day today has been! Today my dad asked if L and I wanted to go to the store with him. I of course said yes because your girl loves...
