I have been really thinking about the past lately and looking at what I have done in the last year with myself. I got into a really dark place where In my head I was going to be over weight and hate myself for the rest of my life I had tried almost everything. I was working out but wasn't really loosing weight and I was getting back up to that weight I told myself that I would never let myself get to again. The highest weight I have ever been was 256 lbs I was 248lbs and had given up hope of ever being at my goal weight or feeling good about myself again. I really let myself go and didn't care at all I stopped wearing make up wore my hair up 90% of the time and wore yoga pants and big sweaters because those were the only things that fit me.
One day I decided that I was done with weight watchers and not sticking to it and that I was going to start looking into this Keto diet that everyone was talking about. I started doing my research and gathering information. I then decided heck I'm going to try this and see how it goes. The only way I was going to succeed was to be able to get the rest of my family on board It took about a week to get them all on board my dad was all for it right off the bat. My mom on the other hand took a little more convincing to give up pasta and breads.
I just posted a Keto 6 month update. I'm happy to say that in those 6 months I have lost 38.8 lbs almost 40lbs and I feel great! In the past couple weeks I have noticed a lot of changes in myself. I have been trying on old clothes and clothes that I haven't ever worn because they were always too small and am now able to fit in them. I have started wearing makeup again because I now feel good about myself and the way I look. I am motivated again and feel so determined to keep going with this lifestyle.
I have found a passion for cooking. I used to try and make meals before but was never confident in what I made. That has all changed I am making dinner just about every night and I am experimenting with different foods and how to make the same chicken 50 different ways. I am adapting recipes to make them Keto friendly and just really embracing it all.
Yes I still have down days and crappy days. I still have days were I feel like crap. But those days have become a lot less.
I am happy and I am so looking forward to what the future is like and where I can go from here.

What I'm doing to try and be a better mom
About a month ago I was taking my daughter to her gymnastics class and I noticed that one of the kids in her class were trying to get there moms attention but mom was on her phone and totally ignoring the kid. I felt really bad for the kid as she was trying so hard to get her attention. It was at that moment that I made a promise to myself to be a more attentive mom.
When I am at gymnastics if I can see my daughter out the viewing room window I make sure I watch her and that every time she looks up she sees me watching her. When I can't see her that is when I can look at my phone.
At night we have started a new tradition/bed time routine. I went and got a kids novel its 3 stories in 1 and its 33 chapters long. Every night we read a chapter of the book before bed while cuddled up. Sometimes if we are at a good part we will read 2 chapters. I find that since doing this L has been going to bed so much better than in the past and looks forward to our reading times.
Mother daughter dates! I have been trying to do a mother daughter date at least 1-2 times a month with L. We go to dinner or do something fun just the 2 of us next month we are going to go to Paw Patrol live together! L is super excited about this.
I am trying to put my phone down and or work down more often and playing with L wether it be a tickle battle playing a game or watching some video about something she was interested in.
If I do anything at all anything that could make a difference with my girl I hope that being more present in her life and showing her love in ways other than heres a new toy or let me buy you this I want her to appreciate time and time spent with me and other people in her life I want her to value things like that more so than valuing the things I buy her.
I have to say since I have implemented some of these rules or guidelines for myself I have seen a big improvement with L and her moods and how much we used to fight compared to now. She has been helping more and listening so much better. Hopefully this keeps up and I can raise a great kid!

Keto (WEEK 4 UPDATE)
Keto Week 4 How I'm feeling my thoughts on Keto!
So today was weigh in day and I was up pretty early this morning used the washroom and stepped on the scale and was super surprised at the number in a good way!
Week 4 : -4.4 lbs Total loss so far : -10.4lbs
Happy dance commence! To be honest I have never felt this good on any way of eating before. I am almost never hungry and when I am I eat, I don't snack anymore I eat 2 meals a day sometimes 3 but mostly just 2. It is very rare for me to eat after 7pm now which it used to be snack central in this house hold at night.
I am starting to understand my body and self a lot more and better. I am more in tune with how I am feeling. The one thing I have noted for myself and realized is that on any other WOE I have never not been hungry I was hungry all the time. I was also always crazy tired I thought that being tired was just the way my life was going to be. I was always dying for a nap at 1-2pm. This has totally changed which makes me love this way of eating even more!
I am having so much fun experimenting with food I have been cooking all the meals for my family which has made doing this so much easier and everyone is loving the food!
I can't wait to see what happens in the next couple weeks I am sticking to this until I hit my goal and beyond no more yucky carbs for this girl!

A Weekend with 2
This week I haven't been feeling the greatest between allergies a slight cold and late nights and just feeling like utter crap I have been feeling pretty drained. I'm trying to keep up with everything and so far its been going ok there is room for improvement but all in all its going well.
This weekend I offered to watch my friends little guy who is just a year younger then L and they are pretty much best friends. We call them boyfriend and girlfriend because they are just the cutest together. They also play really really well together which makes the whole thing super nice!
I wasn't sure what we were going to eat for lunch and dinner today as I would have both kids for both eating periods of the day. I ended up ordering myself a small pizza and got them chicken bites and fries and at the request of my kiddo potato wedges as well. The food got here super quick which was really nice L didn't want any nuggets and only ate fries and wedges and G ate 1 nugget (I gave him 3). They are both picky eaters but usually eat pretty well in each others company but they just weren't feeling it today.
We spent the morning playing and watching Noddy and had lunch and then after lunch we watched 2 more episodes of Noddy and the went outside for a swim in the pool. This was the fun part G took no time to get in the pool and was having a blast while my child who has only had one swimming lesson and now thinks she's a mermaid refused to put on and wear her puddle jumper in the pool. I made a deal with her that she could do 3 of her mermaid swims and then she had to put on her jumper she did and then the fight began. Finally I was able to put it on her and she proceeded to sit one the step to the pool for the next 20 min whining. I finally decided to see if she would jump into the deep end of the pool and joked around with her she jumped in a couple times and then all was good with the world.
The kids spent 2 hours in the pool and then decided they had had enough and were ready to go in so we did. we had a bit more of our lunch for dinner and the rest of the day the kids just wanted to play family/house in the living room and watch more Noddy so thats what they did and I sat at the kitchen table and worked. All in all it was a great day with only one melt down from my own child!

5th Birthday!!
I can't believe it my child is 5 years old!! Where has the time gone? I can remember the day she was born like it was yesterday It's amazing that she is already 5 and it is so weird for me to say that to be honest. I have to say I am loving this age so far she is the coolest kid I know and I know it's biased as I'm her mom but she really is an awesome kid.
For L's 5th birthday I thought about having her classmates for a party but decided after a lot of thinking about it and looking a finances that we were just going to do a family and close friends party this year and next year I will plan for a kids party with her school friends.
We had her Birthday party this year on Canada day so when we do this we always do it earlier in the day so that everyone can go do their own thing later on and go see the fireworks or what not. We ended up having a pool party at the house which worked out really well as it was crazy hot out that day. My sister had gotten a bull floaty for the pool a few weeks earlier and we had it set up for that day and let me tell you it was super fun and the family loved it. There were battles to see who could ride the bull the longest.
Her Birthday was of course Unicorn themed as she is currently obsessed with unicorns and horses. We bought all unicorn decorations we could find including a blow up full size unicorn gliding balloon that L got a kick out of. I even bought Unicorn wrapping paper for her presents I got her.
Normally every year since L's first birthday my sister has made her birthday cake and it has been awesome as my sister is a pastry chef so it always worked out great and looked awesome. Unfortunately this year my sister was unable to make the cake and had to work on L's birthday so I had to either go and buy a cake from somewhere else or make it myself. I ended up buying a box cake and L and I spent the night before her birthday making her birthday cake together. L loved this and thought it was so fun to do. After L went to bed I threw together some decorations for the cake and made it look the best I could. She loved it the next morning! Mommy for the win!All in all it was a great day and L had lots of fun and ended up thanking me for having a great party for her!

Swimming lessons!
As a kid I grew up with my grandparents having a pool we used to ride our bikes over in the summer and go swimming all the time Grandma and Grandpa's was the place to be especially on those really hot days. I taught myself to swim with the help of my parents and only had swimming lessons in Grade 4 as part of our class.
So when it came to our pool we have at our house and L I had to decide what to do if I would just work with her and teach her how to swim myself, put her into a group swim class or get her private lessons.
I always thought that I would just teach her myself and that she would just start learning as she has been while we use the pool all summer which if she has anything to do with it we will be in the pool every day! I knew I didn't want to do a group swimming class I didn't think she would learn as much as she would be trying to show off or play with the other kids around her. So I had decided that swimming lessons weren't happening at this time and I would teach her.
Walking home the other day from school with L and I happened to notice a sign and I stood there and read it with L yelling at me to hurry up. The sign was for private in backyard swimming lessons! Honestly how perfect L could learn one on one and in her own pool! I took a picture of the poster and headed home. Later that night after L was in bed I pulled my phone out to look at the poster again. I looked up the website that was listed and read all about the program.
The program is set up through the red cross so If L does the required amount of lessons and passes she would have a swimming certification which I thought was pretty cool. On the poster it also had a coupon code for your first lesson which I also thought was awesome. They have a selection between 3 lesson types 30 min, 45min and 60min sessions. They were all reasonably priced as well in my mind!
So I signed the kiddo up and she will have her first lesson in a few days!!

Updates and other stuff!
Well it's been a hot minute since I was on here and actually posted something. It's crazy how fast time goes by and you don't even notice its going so quickly and then it slaps you in the face. These last few months have been crazy for me hence why I haven't been on here much lately and haven't written on her much either. I have been trying to make some changes in my life which I have had ongoing for as long as I can remember. I have gotten myself a personal trainer she comes once a week to my house and trains me for 30 min. Let me tell you she doesn't let me off easy this girl is making me sweat. I am working on getting myself back into eating better which is really a hit or miss most days some days I'm really good at it and then others I'm horrible but what else is new. I have been working on keeping my cardio up between training sessions by doing 30 min walks or swimming and other random things to keep me moving.
L is and has gotten so much bigger in the last few months and I can't get over the fact that in 2 weeks she is going to be 5 years old. I feel like it was yesterday that she was born I can still remember the day so clearly like it happened yesterday. L and I share a room and up until last month she was sleeping in a toddler bed and I was in a double so we had to figure out how we were going to fit the 2 of us in the same room together while still giving us enough space to live in the room. The only logical thing was to get a bunk bed! L is the happiest kid in the world right now hahaha. So I a 28 year old just got my first bunk bed and let me tell you I'm not complaining I friggin love the thing. I find I am getting so much more work done since we got it. It's like my own little space that I just sit in and work in any time of the day and night. It really has changed a lot of things and our room is so much cleaner and organized.
My plan for the next few posts which I am fingers crossed bit my tongue going to be posting on here again more frequently. I have a few product reviews I am planning on doing. I am thinking I am wanting to do some sort of weekly update on whats going on in our world and a few other posts that I have yet to come up with.
SO until next time!!

Weight Watchers Week #3 & #4 and what I have learned
Week 3
Well I was bad and skipped blogging about WW week #3 it really wasn't totally intentional but I had a lot going on. We went away for the weekend and I had my WW guidelines in my head and I tried to think about the points I was eating and drinking and tried to stay within a certain amount but I also tried to enjoy myself and have a couple drinks and what not. So After our weekend away it was time to weigh in and I was up +2.8lbs It sucked but in the same sense I knew it was coming I knew I was going to be up and therefore I was prepared for it. I was a little disappointed but as i said I had prepared myself to see a higher number on the scale that weigh in.
Week 4
Yesterday was weigh in day and normally I would try and do my blog that day. Yesterday turned into a very busy day starting in the morning so I ended up running around and doing other things that needed to get done instead. So I had gained weight the week before and knew I wanted to see a lower number yesterday. I was so hopeful I had tried to stay on track as much as possible and had tried to keep my steps up as well and keep moving which I find hard at times especially when I have a lot of work piling up. So Weigh in I stepped on the scale and entered it into my WW app and I was down -4.8lbs YAY!! I totally did a happy dance. I was so happy with myself. I am totally pumped and ready to see what I can do this week.
More about my experience with WW
My first time on the program I tried for a good couple months and my numbers were all over the place and I got very discouraged. I never lost more than I believe it was 8lbs in that time and I just ended up giving up.
Now looking back at my first try and even my second try on WW I don't think I totally understood the program as much as I do now. I always thought that If I didn't eat all my points and I stayed well below my points that I would loose more weight and I also ate a lot of low point processed foods instead of healthy low point foods because it was easier. This is not the case you have to eat those points they actually tell you on the app that you should be in a certain range of point eating to give you the best results. So lets say I get 37SP a day and 42weeklies my range of eating that is good for me would be to eat 34-44SP a day. Awesome but that also means 34-44Sp in good for you foods not 34-44sp of chocolate or chips or something like that cause that defiantly wont work.
Another thing I have found helpful is I take pictures of most of my meals and post them on my instagram kind of as a food journal. And then this helps as well. But the biggest thing that is really nice is in the WW app there is this thing called Connect and its basically a WW chat instagram meets twitter kind of idea where you see people who are on WW posting their struggles and successes and everyone on there is very helpful and up lifting. I post my weigh ins each week and its amazing the encouragement you get from these people who don't know you at all.

Weight Watchers Week 1
Week 1 Back on WW! I have done weight watchers a few times before and was successful one of those times but only successful by 10lbs and then I was stuck. I have never really lost more than that on the program. So Since January I have gained way to much weight I mean like 50lbs almost and have been really depressed and just not doing very well for for myself and I needed to change things. I still had a WW account as I had resigned up a little while back but wasn't at all successful. So Last Monday I weighed myself joined a competition with some other ladies on Facebook and started tracking again. I tracked every day and ate really well I cut all sugar out of my diet. I don't even have it in my coffee anymore and I used to have 2 in my coffee. I went for a walk everyday to try and get myself moving more and I started eating 3 meals a day plus snacks. I feel really good and my family has even noticed a change in my mood.

A great day!
Today I would say was a great day! When ever L and I plan to do something special on a day such as going to see a movie like today. I try to make it a special day for her. We don't get out all the time as I don't have my license yet (Still working on it). So today we went to see Despicable me 3 Which I knew L would sit and watch at the theatre and be happy to see. We went to the closest theatre here (there are 2 in the city) and we tried out the new reclining seats which I have to say were pretty awesome. I haven't been to the movie theatre in ages as the seats always bother my legs and I get restless. Today was a different story and I was happy about it. I was really happy with how well L did at the movies she sat really well and watched the movie she laughed and was pretty quite which for a kid that never stops talking was pretty good. When we got to the theatre we went straight to the concession stand cause of course we needed to have popcorn. It took forever for the guy at the concession to get the order of the person at the front of the line. It ended up that we were late getting into the movie but the only thing we missed luckily was the previews. The movie it's self was ok but I did almost fall asleep a few times.
After the movie was over L raved about it and how fun it was. She wants to go back and do it again! At the theatre they have an arcade and of course we had to go and play a few games. First I had to figure out how it now worked as they no longer have the tokens and stuff I was used to. We went and got a swipe card for the games. we played a bunch of games some of them were better than others and some were easier than others for L to play. After that we moved on.
We went shopping next Carters was having a big sale so we went and I got L a new dress and a new pair of shorts cause I'm trying to watch how much I spend these days. We went to a few other stores and didn't buy anything just looked around and window shopped I almost bought a bunch of stuff at one store but then I went and put everything back I was a good girl.
After walking down through all the stores we went to a restaurant and had some dinner. We ordered and then sat and waited for it to come we cuddled a little and then L put her head down on my lap and she was out like a light. Our food ended up coming while she slept on my lap so I had to eat very carefully haha. I ended up having to get the waitress to grab the ketchup off the table for me because it was on the other side of the table and I couldn't reach it. Once I finished my food the service at the restaurant went down hill from there. I didn't see the waitress after that for at least 20 minutes and then L woke up and had to use the washroom so we grabbed our stuff from the table and went to the washroom when we got back to the table they had started to clear our table but had left it. I sat there for a little while longer trying to get someone to help me but no go. So finally the manager came along and asked if I needed anything and I told her I had been waiting for my waitress to come and get me the bill but she hadn't come back so the manager went and got it and got me to pay through her. We could finally leave. I probably could have walked out and no one would be the wiser but I'm not that kind of person I just don't tip well when you ignore me.
All in all it was a great day and L enjoyed it immensely!

Best Birthday EVER!
So as stated in another post it was L's birthday this weekend and we went away to a local resort that recently opened up. Her birthday happens to be the same day as Canada day so we always try to make it special for her. The last few years we have always done her birthday on her birthday and just done it at lunch so that others could attend but still partake in their evening fireworks and all. I wasn't sure how this year was going to go as I still wanted her birthday to feel like her birthday to her.
L has been counting down to her birthday for over a week and she would always ask me how many more sleeps until my birthday mom and I would show her with my fingers. While away we shared a bed and It was the funniest/cutest thing. L woke up the morning of her birthday looked over at me in bed and said mommy look. She held up her fist showing there were no more sleeps to count and yelled "IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!" I have never seen this kid more excited.
I wanted to wait to open presents until my sister was able to watch her considering the whole reason we were staying there was so that she could be there for her birthday. But my little 4 yr old couldn't wait she had to have her presents!! So I ended up recording as she opened them up. As she opened up her first present she started saying "it's you will see" as she tried to get her present out of the box I ended up having to tell her to turn the box upside down to which the baby fell out of the box for her to show us. She was super excited to have her new baby as her old one was mangled and broken.
Her second present from mommy was a Plasma car. She has ridden on one of these at a friends house and the kids had so much fun on them I figured if I could get it for a good price I would get her one which I did. She was super excited when she opened that present and insisted that her Papas build it right away!
I bought a special shirt for L to wear that day as it was Canada day I still wanted her to be noticed for her birthday so she wore a Happy Birthday to me shirt for Old Navy.
It ended up being a rainy day so we drove into the next town and went to Walmart to pick up some board games and supplies. When we got back to the cabin we were staying in my sister had left surprise birthday cupcakes for L. We ate them and sat on the floor of the cabin playing and watching Sing on my laptop. Thankfully the weather got nicer and we were able to go outside and play a bit. We went and had a late dinner at the restaurant and L got a special piece of cake with rose cut strawberries.
That evening we went out to the docks and we went fishing with L's new fishing rod (the rod sucked) we didn't catch anything but we had fun for a bit.
We had a hard time finding fireworks but were able to see some someone was putting off near by we just had to watch them through the trees but it was good enough for us.
L went to bed a very satisfied and tired child!
She said mom that was the BEST birthday EVER!
(Mission accomplished)
What she didn't know was that there was a surprise party for her the very next day!

Going to school, turning 4 and life
In Just a few more months L will be going for her first day of school! Aww my little girl is growing up so fast I can't believe it. In only 3 days she is going to be a 4 year old! How did this happen!? I know how it happened I just mean that time has gone so fast. I can remember holding her when she was first born and thinking to myself that school and her being 4 was so far away boy was I wrong. She is a pretty Special person that I can say for sure. She is very very friendly when it comes to other kids and can make friends within a minute of meeting them. I'm hoping thats a good sign for when she starts school. She knows her full name and can verbally spell her first and last name and can write her first name and we are just working on her last name. She can tell you what my name is and where she lives and even what country she lives in.
She is counting down the days this morning she woke up and goes mommy theres only 3 more days till my birthday! My dad and I went out last night and bought some party supplies, She has been asking for a unicorn piñata like a crazy person so of course as a good mother I went and got her one. Unfortunately they were all out of unicorn balloons so we just got a giant 4. I so excited to celebrate her birthday with her this year we aren't totally celebrating it on her actual birthday but the day after and we have family and friends coming out to our cabin that we are renting for the weekend. She doesn't know that everyone is coming out yet. I'm hoping to surprise her as she has been asking people to come and hide with the lights out and she will walk in and we will surprise her haha what a kid.
Tomorrow my life may change for the better! I go for my driving test tomorrow and I'm super excited about it and just can't wait to be able to just go whenever I want. I think it is going to open up the summer for L an I to get out and do a lot more and have some fun. I think it will also help with business as well. Thats something I'm looking forward to. It's actually funny for me because I really am not nervous about the test or driving in general but I know before I even started driving it scared the crap out of me. Now I am not nervous at all. I just got back from my lesson today and she thinks I'm going to do well on the test tomorrow so that makes me feel good tomorrow we will go out again and do another drive and then I have my test. Wish me Luck!!

Crayola Bathtub Crayons *Wednesday Review*
Today's Wednesday review is Crayola's Bathtub Crayons. When I saw these in the store I was kind of excited I thought L will love these! L loves to colour so bath time and colouring just seemed perfect. So last night it was bath time and I decided to surprise her with them and try them out for the first time. You get 10 colours in the package. There is a little clicking part on the crayons that allow you to move them up out of their plastic casing. I find with the plastic casing I like it but then I also found that the crayon was very wobbly in it so you can't move the crayon up too fast or they will brake off.
The Crayon has great colour and goes on pretty thick. They are basically actual crayons just in a plastic case. L loved these and drew all over the tub. She asked to draw on the tile wall so I told her to test it out in a little patch to make sure it would wipe off before we committed. When she drew she drew slightly in the grout between the tiles and we weren't able to get the crayon to come off the grout. So this should only be used on tile and bath and stay away from the grout.
After a while of drawing (even the adults were colouring) it was time to get out and clean up so here is the real test. The crayon was relatively easy to wipe off with just a wet paper towel. If you touched any of the crayon with your hands it would come off onto your skin but easily washed off.
The only issues with these that I found was that I have some pink left over crayon colouring that I can't seem to clean off of the side of the tub. So now I have a slight pink colour on the inside sides of the tub. It's not totally noticeable and I'm hoping in time it will come off. It was a little disappointing though to not be able to totally clean it up. I even tried using a mild bleach spray and that didn't help.
All in all I like this product but probably won't use it again We tried the crayons again tonight and it left marks on the tub that I am having a hard time cleaning up and since the tub has dried marks that I thought I had cleaned are now showing from the other day. All in all I would give this product a 3 out of 5. It's a lot of fun and well constructed but leaves marks in the tub which just isn't something I want.

Giving options
I feel in my household that it's important to give my kiddo options when it comes to things like giving up toys. I don't want to just take things and give them away without her knowing I think it's good for her to make those decisions for herself. This is something that I have been doing with her for the last few years.
It all started with an overwhelming amount of stuffed animals that were taking over our room. I sat down with L and held a stuffy up and gave her the option to keep or get rid of. I was very surprised when she narrowed it down to just a few stuffed animals. We ended up getting rid of a whole garbage bag of stuffies!
Our next endeavour was to go through her toys. This one I was positive was going to be a struggle. I told her that the toys she didn't want to keep we were going to give to new babies so that they could have fun and play with them. Easy peasy lemon squeezy! another box of toys off to new babies and a less cluttered room! I can't believe how easy it really has been and even if she says she wants to keep something and I don't think its something that she will ever play with she is super easy to reason with.
Today we tackled her clothes. We went through every drawer and she said she wanted to keep or give away. There were a couple items that she was far to happy to give away because she hates them (jeans). Then there were a few things that she thought she wanted to keep but I didn't think she would need or would still fit so I would reason with her. Most of the time she will give in and give that item up because she will realize that mommy is right and that item doesn't fit with her age and what not anymore.
It makes me proud to think that L can make those decisions and she doesn't get overly upset if at all about getting rid of stuff. Basically I'm glad she's not a hoarder. I know myself I have a hard time getting rid of my own stuff. You always have that thought in the back of your head. What if I need that someday? That I am glad L doesn't have and I hope she never does.

Easter Weekend
This weekend was Easter weekend! The Easter bunny started gathering things for L a few months ago as He didn't want her to get a bunch of chocolate. L was super excited that the Easter bunny was coming to the house.
This Easter was a little different for our family as this is the first year that my grandmother wasn't there (She passed away last year) and My grandfather is now in a home. My cousins also went to Disney this year so really Easter this year was very very small.
We ended up going out to dinner on Saturday night with the family we did have in town there was about 9 of us all together. L was the only child there and boy was she cranky! Basically every little thing made her go off crying. I feel like she practises crying in the mirror so that she can perfect it.
Easter morning L was up at 7am wanting to see what the Easter bunny brought her. I ended up getting her to stay in bed for another hour before she got to go see. She was so excited to see that the bunny had eaten her carrots and drank her water. We told her to see what the bunny brought her which was on the table beside her plate. She walked right past her stuff and walked into the living room looking for her stuff like there was going to be a tree with presents underneath as if it was Christmas. We had to call her back to the table to see her stuff.
Once L looked at her Easter basket we got ready and piled into the car. We went out to Brunch with my grandmother. L ended up eating mostly Strawberries and bacon. Brunch was pretty good they had a bit of everything. After brunch we went for a drive out in the country and just talked until L and I fell asleep in the back seat. I'm pretty sure pictures were taken I haven't seen them yet though.
When we got back to the house L went for some quiet time and then we went outside to play a little as there was a really nice warm breeze. Later on we went down stairs where the Easter bunny had left some eggs for L to find She sat at the bottom of the stairs telling us that she was sooooo excited and had the biggest smile on her face.
All in all it was a good weekend and L was very sad this morning that it was all over.

My Child is Nuts!
My child is nuts she's adorable and funny but she can be a nutso! We went to my sisters soccer game last night to watch her play because L wanted to go so badly she was jumping up and down in my face begging me to go so I gave in. L was in awe of the big soccer dome we walked into it was huge! We went and sat down on the bleachers near the field where My sister was playing and that when the nut cake came out.
We were sitting on the bleachers by ourselves for the first little bit. There is loose netting all around the field so that if a ball comes flying off the field it can stop it before it hits people. L was very hyper and I had a hard time getting her to stay in one spot which I didn't mind at the beginning as long as she was staying with in the perimeters I had given her. She went from the top bleacher to the bottom and back up to the top and was moving all around. She was jumping off of them and sliding on her belly on them.
My kid is a relatively good kid and listens most of the time.
People came and sat on the top bleacher behind us so I tried to reel L back in and keep her in a smaller space while watching the soccer game preparing for the ball to come towards us. At one point L starts yelling Daddy, Daddy, Daddy which she doesn't have and doesn't even know who her daddy is so I told her to stop being silly. After that a gentleman and 2 teenage boys come walking by us and L jumps out and growls at them scaring the gentleman and making him jump. In my head I'm laughing but mortified at the same time and I quickly told her not to do that that it was not nice.
By the end of the game she was using me as her personal jungle gym. Lets just say I was happy when the game was over but I'm also glad she had fun and I get that it's super boring for a 3 yr old to sit and watch a game so I don't fault her for that.

Movie in the sky!
As kids growing up my parents would always surprise my sister and I with going to "the movie in the sky", The drive in and we thought it was the coolest thing in the world we still do! I have been excited since L was born to take L to the drive in for the first time it is one of my fondest memories as a kid and I wanted L to have those memories of her own. So last summer my sister and I decided that we would take L to the drive in the first chance we got.
Instead of just going to the drive in we decided to make a day of it we went and got dinner and then we went early to the drive in and got a good spot. We then proceeded to go play mini putt that was attached to the drive in. so basically that day we did 2 things for the first time with L Drive in and mini Putt. The day we chose to go there really wasn't any real kid movies like animated ones so we ended up going and seeing Alice through the looking glass and Avengers. We made a bed in the back of my sisters truck with a blow up mattress and pillows and blankets. It was pretty comfy thats for sure. L was super excited for the whole night.
At this point we were trying to get L to potty train but she wasn't really into it yet and was still in pull ups. We were near the end of the first movie and L yelled I HAVE TO GO POTTY! So we ran into the concession and went to the potty and she actually went! I was so excited that we went and got her a treat on the way out. She ended up going potty again on the potty 2 more times that night.
By the second movie we were all pretty tired L had fallen asleep and I wasn't far behind her. I still haven't seen the end of the second movie or the middle really. I ended up waking up in the middle of the credits with L cuddled up next to me in the back of the truck she had drooled all over the front of my shirt. She slept all while I put her in her car seat and all the way home until the next morning.
I will never forget my girls face that day and how happy and excited she was. When I look back at the pictures you can see the twinkle in her eyes and the happiness.
She can't wait till the summer so we can go back and I can't either!

Gymnastics!
So this weekend we did something that L has been dying to do since forever! We went to GYMNASTICS!! L's face was ear to ear smile and she was jumping up to down saying gippy gippy cause thats how she says Yippy and its the funniest thing. I have never seen my kid so happy it was really awesome.
This weekend was open gym day for kids to come to the gym and try it out go on the equipment and see if they like it and to be active. I was surprised at how brave L was and how much upper body strength she has that I didn't even know she has. The best part for me other than L's excitement was that it was FREE!
I was very happy with L and how well she did at the gym. There were some kids that were running around the gym wild running in front of kids and not waiting there turns even older kids, L stuck to the gym rules which was one kid at a time on the equipment, she waited her turn to go on it all and was just over all good.
In the gym they have a the big ropes hanging from the ceiling for kids to climb up and swing on L ran straight to it when she first saw another kid use it and swing from one block to another she HAD to do it as well. She waited in the line and when it was her turn she held on to the rope and freaked out slightly and then threw herself over the edge of the block to the next one. She proceeded to do this non stop for a good 10 minutes if not more.
L's next great feat was the trampoline. She has been on a trampoline before and loves jumping but the trampoline at this gym you can see through it all the way to the ground below and that scared her. I ended up having to go on it to show her that it was ok to go on. She ended up sitting down on the mat on the edge and slowly creeping onto the trampoline by herself she then stood up and started jumping and that was the end of it she wasn't scared anymore and kept going back to jump on it over and over.
We ended up staying at the open gym the entire time they were open so just over 2 hours and let me tell you when they hung up that giant rope tears were shed and my girl was pissed. L ended up huddled in the corner crying 1 because she was exhausted and 2 because she absolutely did not want to leave.
NOW I have to figure out how to make it work for her to go to gymnastics and actually learn cause she loved it so much and I think it would be great for her. It is now on my todo list of things that I need to figure out in life. It seems to be getting longer and longer haha.
